Eindelijk een recept gevonden voor speltbrood wat niet als een klomp uit de broodbakmachine komt

More than half of the living room is pretent-play-area now, but it is so much fun ;-)

Zwarte bonen brownies / Black bean brownies

Zwarte bonen als toetje.
Er zit een heel blikje door het beslag...
Geen geintje, echt heel lekker!

Mijn foto's doen de smaak van deze brownies geen recht aan, maar hier vind je betere foto's plus het recept.

Fotokabien

Het is snertweer hier: wind, regen & donkere wolken.
Het was dat ik even naar buiten moest met de hond....
Maar het eind deze week is hier een ieniemienie voorproefje van de zomer voorspeld! :-)

We 'fotokabienen' nu al meer dan een jaar, hier vind je onze eerste keer. En hier vind je meer deelnemers.

The weather is boring over here: wind, rain & dark clouds.
If it wasn't for the dog, I would not go out today.
But they promissed us ome really nice weather for the end of the week! :-)

Haarwensen / Hair wishes

Mijn tweelingzus & ik laten ons haar groeien.
Net als vroeger ;-)
(En net als Isis nu, die haar tot op de grond wil net als Rapunzel)

Maar zus en ik gaan voor een vlecht van minimaal 25 centimeter: voor Stichting Haarwensen. Die maken er pruiken van voor kinderen die daar om medische redenen voor in aanmerking komen.
 
My twinsister and I are growing our hair.
Just like when we were little ;-)
(And just like Isis is doing right now, she want the same hair lenth as Rapunzel)

Our goal is a braid that measures at least 25 centimeters: for Stichting Haarwensen
This foundation makes wigs and hairpieces for children -who for medical reasons- need them.

Je veter zit los! ;-) / Your shoelace is untied! ;-)

Een grote kleuter is ze nu echt al. En bij grote kleuters horen grote-kleuter-dingen.

Zoals strikken maken!

Dit is hoe we het leerden:

• Men neme een mooi lint en een mooi kind
• Neem je kind op schoot, zodat jullie neuzen dezelfde kant op staan
• Leg eerst uit hoe je een knoop maakt door het lint om het been van je kind te knopen
• Wanneer dat lukt leer je een strik met het volgende ezelsbruggetje:

een konijntje (1e lus) loopt rond een boompje (2de lus) en kruipt in zijn holletje (de ruimte tussen de gekruiste veters)

En klaar ben je!
Als het nou niet in 5 minuten lukt ga er dan niet te lang mee door, maar probeer het gewoon de volgende dag nog eens.

Grote dingen moeten natuurlijk ook groots beloond worden, dus ik heb ook een veterstrikdiploma gemaakt. Je kunt het hier downloaden. Invullen, inkleuren en op karton plakken of lamineren. De vetergaatjes kun je doorprikken met een prikpen zodat je er om het helemaal af te maken nog een veter door kunt rijgen. En strikken dan natuurlijk :-)

She is growing up so fast. Learning so many new things.
Like tying shoe laces!

This is how we did it:

• You'll need a pretty ribbon 
• Let your child sit on your lap, in this way you're both facing the same direction
• Show how to make a knot by knotting the ribbon around your childs leg
• When he's able to make a knot, explain how to tie the laces with this mnemonic:

a little rabbit (1st loop) runs around a great big tree (2nd loop) and he jumps in his bunny hole (space between the crossed laces)

And you're done!
If your child doesn't manage this in 5 minutes, don't push. Try again another day. 


And because big skills call for big rewards I made a Shoe Tying Certificate. You can download it here. Write down your childs name, let him color the shoe and glue it to a piece of cardboard or laminate it. The holes of the shoe can be punched out so you can actually lace the shoe. And of course: tie it!
